Go shopping

Beautiful jewellery and handmade cermaics – what better souvenir is there to take home from your Portugal holiday? Here are some suggestions for stores where you can find beautiful and high-quality merchandise.

Check out cute Cafés

Especially in Lagos there are a lot of amazin Cafés where you can enjoy some delicious pastries and a good cup of coffee. Use this time to plan for your next activity once the sun comes out again. Here are my favourite cafés in Lagos.

Go on a hike

Yes, this is an outdoor activity. But as long at it is not raining, going on a hike is a perfect opportunity to discover more of the beautiful landscape the Algarve has to offer. There are a lot of routes you can take, either along the coast or you drive up the mountains.

If you are looking for hiking recommendations I listed some beautiful routes for every fitness level in this blog post.

This is only for the brave but I promise you won’t regret trying to scuba dive. And even tho there are no colorful coral reefs in the south of Portugal you can discover a beautiful underwaterworld full of fascinating life and wrecks. Since you are underwater you don’t need the weather to be perfect. You can find a scuba diving excursion for all levels here.

Take Surfing Lessions

Same as scuba diving, you need no perfect weather for this activity. You can find a lot of different surf schools in and around Lagos or any other town in the Algarve.

And after a long day of exploring and doing sports, you can sit down in one of these delicious restaurants in Lagos.
