MONTE GAMBAROGNO: EASY HIKE WITH BEAUTIFUL VIEWS IN TESSIN, SWITZERLAND

If you are looking for an easy and beautiful hike in Tessin you might want to consider Monte Gambarogno. This path is for all fitness levels and you will have beautiful views over the valley and Lago Maggiore.

Monte Gambarogno is located in the very south of Switzerland next to the Italian border. There is a bus that drives up there but it’s far more accessible by car.

The car park is located in Alpe di Neggia. This is also where the bus from Magadino stops. During the off seasons (spring and fall) the bus doesn’t go regularly so make sure to plan accordingly.

From the parking lot the first section from the hike leads through the forest. Then, coming out of the forest you will have beautiful views

After about an Hour and 20 Minutes you will reach a view point and restaurant called Capanna Gambarögn. There you can take a break and eat and drink something.

The way back to the car park (or bus station) is another one then they way we came up. It’s also shorter and only takes about an hour.
