Hi, I’m Cory, a travel journalist, certified diver, and solo traveler sharing scuba diving tips, dive destination guides, and backpacking advice for women who want to explore the world (above and below the surface).

I’ve been obsessed with backpacking since I was six, when my parents took my brother and me to Australia for four months. That trip changed how I saw the world, and I’ve been chasing that feeling ever since, I’ve now traveled to more than 30 countries across Europe, Australia, Asia, and South America.

In 2024, a group of friends took me scuba diving for the first time, and I was hooked immediately. Since then, I’ve earned my Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver certifications, and I’m currently working toward my SSI Divemaster in Costa Rica.

This blog exists because I want it to be a safe, practical resource, especially for women who want real answers about diving and traveling solo.

Other than that I love some good Iced Coffee in the morning, I really care about animals, doing Yoga and reading.
